Riverstone is a US based energy and power-focused private investment firm founded in 2000 by David M. Leuschen and Pierre F. Lapeyre with approximately $34 billion of equity capital raised across nine private investment funds and related co-investment entities. Riverstone conducts buyout and growth capital investments in the exploration and production, midstream, credit, oilfield services, power and renew- able sectors of the global energy industry. With offices in New York, London, Houston and Mexico City, the firm has committed over $31 billion to more than 120 investments in North America, Latin America, Europe, Mexico, Africa and Asia.

New Brand Identity

REL is a member of the FTSE 250 and their identity needs to reflect this. Having partnered with REL for several years, Magee were asked to look at and develop a new brand for print and online. Knowing the client as we do, meant we were able to advise with an in-depth knowledge of the client’s current and perceived culture in order to take the new identity forward. We evolved the typographic-based logo to represent a more established looking mark and backed this up with a stylised approach to all typography and a simple, strong colour palette to evoke a “safe pair of hands” approach.

Annual Report 2016 / Print

Riverstone Energy Limited seeks to achieve superior risk adjusted returns through investing in the energy sector. The energy sector is global and a significant component of virtually all major economies. They use their Annual report to explain their investment strategy and outline their current Investment Portfolio on an annual basis. Magee have developed a structure, look and feel that portrays exactly this in a visual yet highly descriptive format, with a tone on voice aimed at both current and potential investors and partners.

In order to emulate the printed report closely, a fully interactive “flippable” pdf with linked navigation throughout allowed the reader to access the information in much the same way as the printed report, whilst being instantly available as a downloaded document.
